A motorcycle half helmet offers little protection to the rider. This helmet only cover the top of the head.The half helmet has been known to come off the rider in a crash leaving then unprotected. It has been shown a rider wearing this helmet is at risk of severe face injuries. It should be noted that many of these injuries could have been prevented by wearing a full face helmet.
