BRAKING......Learn to use both front and rear brakes when slowing or stoppingSqueeze front brake and press rear brake lever, avoid applying too much front brakeTry to brake before going in to a turn due to less traction which could cause a skidDo not apply front brake when front wheel is turned, you will go downApplying too much brake can cause wheels to lock causing control problems

KEEP YOUR DISTANCEAlways allow plenty of room between yourself and other vehiclesAllow yourself plenty of room to react to unforeseen problemsMaintain 2 seconds travel time between yourself and vehicle in front of you

BLIND SPOTSRemember all vehicles have blind spots where they can not see youTry to avoid riding beside other cars and trucksRide in front or to the rear where you can be seen

INTERSECTIONSAlways slow when approaching a intersectionCover both brakes, meaning place hand on front and foot on rear brakesAlways look ahead so you can react to others pulling out in front of you
